Not so long ago Miss Sporty released a new collection called Insta Glow which includes a foundations, blushers, bronzers and a primer. There are 4 different foundation shades, 4 blushers, 2 bronzers and 1 primer. I have the foundation, primer and 2 blushers. They have a light and a dark bronzer, blonde and brunette, but I hardly wear shimmery bronzers so I left those out. I got 2 of the blushers but first I will discuss the base products. The whole collection is meant to make your have glowy, dewy looking skin which is normally not my cup of tea but I thought I would try it out! The primer has the exact packaging as the foundation, just a different colour. It comes in a plastic tube with a pink ombre chevron effect on the top and bottom and then the writing is purple and coral. It is really pretty but it looks a little cheap. For the price all of these products are a decent size and have a generous amount in them; it is great value for money. On the front it says it gives you a perfect and luminous complexion and can be used alone or in conjunction with the Insta Glow foundation. The consistency is quite thick and when swatched it is a shimmery rosy pink. When fully blended into the skin, left alone it adds a really dewy and glow look with slight shimmer that is hardly noticeable. Underneath the foundation it does add a little more glow than what is already there which is great for people who love that dewy look and dry skinned people. However, even though I have oily skin I do still like to have a glow finish occasionally and recently I have been loving it! This retails at £3.49 which is extremely cheap for a primer! This has 30ml which is really good compared to the Benefit Porefessional which has 22ml for £24.50 and don’t get me wrong that is an amazing primer! It is often hard to imagine sizes when you’re using ml for makeup products but it is quite a lot compared to other things. The foundation has the same packaging however this has coral ombre chevrons instead of pink. This comes in 4 shades; Ivory, Light, Medium and Dark. I have 001 Ivory which is the palest one. I normally have issues with drugstore foundations as they don’t normally have a large colour range and the lightest one is usually too dark however this time it actually fits me which was really great! However I feel like darker skin tones will struggle as the darkest shade isn’t that dark! This claims to give an instant flawless and luminous complexion and is a ‘photoshop effect foundation’. It has the same consistency as the primer being quite thick which is quite weird as I would imagine a dewy foundation to be quite runny but no, this one is thick! It has slight glittery undertones but nothing majorly visible. When you first apply this to the skin it looks quite wet and can feel sticky but when set with a powder it does settle into the skin leaving a really gorgeous glowy look! I didn’t think I would like this but it has definitely proved me wrong! It doesn’t sink into my pores and draw attention to them and it doesn’t leave me oily any more than I would when wearing a matte foundation which is great! This foundation works with any primer I have tried(Porefessional, L’Oréal Nude Magique, Collection Primed and Ready etc.) and lasts for quite a few hours. It doesnt have the best coverage but definitely does slightly cover up spots. It is definitely worth the buy and it doesn’t break the bank at a measly £3.49 but it is currently on offer at Boots for just £2.99; even better! Lastly I would like to talk about the blushers. They have 4 in the collection(001 Luminous Beige, 002 Radiant Mocha, 004 Glowing Mauve and 006 Shiny Coral) and I have Luminous Beige and Shiny Coral. The packaging is quite simple but I like it. They come in clear plastic pots with white writing and the blushers have a honeycomb effect on them. They don’t last all day as they do wear off but they stay on for a couple of hours. They are quite chalky and buildable but with the darker shades I would recommend using a light hand as they can be quite vibrant. The shade Luminous Beige is very similar and almost an exact dupe for Benefit’s Rockateur which I love! It is a pale beigey pink and is great for everyday use. It is hardly visible on the skin but it adds a lovely glow and sheen to the cheeks whilst adding a small amount of colour as well. If you are wanting to try the Benefit one but don’t really want to spend £23.50 on it then this is a great alternative! The shade Shiny Coral is indeed a shiny coral colour, no surprise there! It is a bright pink with a hint of orange and has silver shimmer running through it. I wear this less often than the other one but it still is a really beautiful shade. These are £2.99 each. I don’t know about you but when I first heard about the prices of Miss Sporty products I was shocked and excited because if makeup that cheap is actually good then that is amazing! And it is, it's great! I feel like Miss Sporty is a very understated brand that deserves more credit than they actually get! I am expanding my collection of Miss Sporty products. Out of the things we have discussed today I mainly use the foundation and beige blusher because they are just my main favourites! I use the blusher everyday and when I want a dewy finish the foundation is something I reach for! The coral blusher is a bit bright and the primer isn’t my go to! Let me know what you have tried from Miss Sporty and if you have any cheap makeup recommendations!
